Right — have been messing about with this thing for maybe a few months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so figured I’d chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me a few days back. I’m in the UK, mainly do football and horses, small stakes, for context.

The reason I started using it was actually pretty stupid — I could never work out what an each way return actually came to when the place terms changed. I used to just guess and get a shock. Now type the odds in first, every time, even a simple single bet.

The single bet calculator is the one I open most — type in stake and odds and you get returns with no faffing, fractions or decimals. Same tool covers the multiples — acca and treble returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, patents and yankees, and that’s where I’d always got it wrong. If you fancy a poke about, it lives at save the student matched betting calculator — free, no signup.

What actually changed how I bet was the more serious extras. There’s an probability calculator and it makes obvious how much the bookie’s taking, and a kelly staking calculator — I stick to fractional kelly because full kelly is far too aggressive. The dutching one gets used a fair bit for when I’m splitting a race.

Couple of gripes. Its layout feels very functional, let’s say — no flash, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On my phone it works although the acca grid make you pinch and zoom. There’s no app, it’s a website and that’s it — fine by me but you asked.

Anyway. Costs nowt, barely any ads, does what it says. If you still adds it up in their head, have a look — it’s saved me a load of “wait, that’s it?” moments.

Took the time to read the comments on this post too and they were also worth reading, and a stop at pgmbconsultancy suggested the community quality matches the content quality, when the conversation around a piece is as good as the piece itself you know you have found a real corner of the internet.

Got something practical out of this that I can apply later this week, and a stop at queenmshop added more details to think about, this is exactly the kind of content I bookmark for future reference rather than the throwaway listicles that dominate most search results these days for almost any common topic.

OK — been on this thing for maybe five months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so thought I’d chuck my thoughts in since someone asked me the other day. Am based in the UK, mainly do football and horses, nothing mad, just so you know where I’m coming from.

How I found it was actually pretty stupid — I never could get my head round what an ew return actually was when the place terms changed. I used to just wing it and then be surprised. Now I punch the numbers in before every slip, even a simple single bet.

The single bet calculator tool is the part I’m on daily — you drop in the price and your stake and it spits out profit and total return with no faffing, fractions or decimals. There’s also the fiddly ones — acca and treble returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, a yankee, which is where I always mess it up. Have a go yourself, it lives at each way winnings calculator and it’s free with no account nonsense.

The thing that really made a difference was the more serious bits. The probability converter and it makes obvious how much the bookie’s taking, and there’s the kelly calculator — I run quarter kelly because full kelly is a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutch tool is handy too for when I’m covering two or three runners.

Couple of gripes. The design feels very functional, let’s say — no flash, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On my phone it’s usable although the acca grid need a bit of scrolling. There’s no proper app, it’s a website and that’s it — doesn’t bother me but you asked.

Anyway. Costs nowt, no ads shoved in your face, works. Anyone who even now adds it up in their head, give it a go — it’s saved me a fair few “wait, that’s it?” moments.

Solid quality, the kind of work that holds up to a careful read rather than a quick skim, and a quick look at urbanbuyingdestination kept that standard going strong, content that rewards attention rather than punishing it is something I appreciate more and more these days online across nearly every topic I follow.

So — been using this thing for something like a few months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, reckon I’d chuck my thoughts in since someone asked me the other day. Am in the UK, mainly stick to footie and the horses, small stakes, so take it how you like.

What got me on it was genuinely a bit daft — I couldn’t ever work out what an ew payout actually came to with 1/5 odds a place. I used to just guess and get a shock. These days I stick my stake in first, every time, even the boring singles.

Their single bet calculator tool is the bit I open most — you put in stake and odds and it shows profit and total return straight away, fractions or decimals. It also handles the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles returns, a lucky 15, yankees, and that’s where I’d always mess it up. If you want a look, it lives at betting probability and it’s free with no account nonsense.

The thing that genuinely shifted things for me was the more serious bits. They’ve got an odds-to-probability converter that shows what margin’s baked in, and a kelly tool — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutch tool is decent if I’m spreading across selections.

Not all sunshine though. The interface is a bit basic — not much polish, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. Phone-wise it works although the lucky 63 breakdown are a squeeze. There’s no proper app, just the site — doesn’t bother me just flagging it.

So yeah. Doesn’t cost anything, no ads shoved in your face, works. If anyone honestly adds it up in their head, have a look — saved me plenty of arguments with the bookie.
