Useful enough to recommend to several people I know who would appreciate it, and a stop at raspinakala added more material I will pass along too, the kind of writing that earns word of mouth is the kind that actually delivers on its promises which is what this site does without any drama or fanfare attached.

Without overstating it this is a quietly excellent post, and a look at blpawards extended that quiet excellence, content that earns superlatives without demanding them through marketing language is content that has truly earned them through the substance and this site has clearly produced work in that earned excellence category today.

So — been on this thing for maybe four months now and it’s stuck on my phone, reckon I’d write something up since someone asked me last week. Am in the UK, mostly stick to footie and the horses, a fiver here and there, so take it how you like.

How I found it was honestly a bit daft — I could never get my head round what an ew payout actually came to when the place terms changed. Basically I’d wing it and get a shock. These days I punch the numbers in before I place anything, even the boring singles.

Their single bet calculator is the one I’m on daily — you drop in stake and odds and you get the return instantly, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. There’s also the fiddly ones — trebles returns, lucky 15s, patents and yankees, and that’s where most people I know got it wrong. If you want a look, it’s over at betting implied probability and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.

The thing that really made a difference was the geekier tools. They’ve got an implied probability converter which shows you what margin’s baked in, and there’s the kelly calculator — I run quarter kelly since full stakes are terrifying. The dutch tool is handy too when I’m spreading across selections.

Not all sunshine though. The interface feels a bit basic — zero flash, it’s clearly function over form. On my phone it’s fine although the lucky 63 breakdown need a bit of scrolling. Also there’s nothing on the app store, it’s a website and that’s it — doesn’t bother me just flagging it.

Right, that’s me. Free, no ads shoved in your face, does the job. If anyone even now adds it up in their head, have a look — it’s saved me a load of arguments with the bookie.

Found the post genuinely useful for something I was working on this week, and a look at trivoxtrustco added more material I will reference, content that connects to my actual life and work rather than just being interesting in the abstract is the kind I will pay attention to and return to repeatedly.

Found this via a link from another piece I was reading and the click was worth it, and a stop at captchathedog extended the value across more material, the open web still rewards clicking through citations when the underlying writers care about each other work and this site clearly belongs to that network.

OK — been on this thing for maybe four months now and it’s stuck on my phone, reckon I’d chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me the other day. I’m UK based, mainly bet football and racing, a fiver here and there, just so you know where I’m coming from.

How I found it was genuinely a bit daft — I never could get my head round what an each way return actually was with 1/5 odds a place. I’d just wing it and moan when the payout landed. These days I punch the numbers in first, every time, even a straight one-selection punt.

The single bet calculator is the part I use most — you put in stake and odds and it shows profit and total return straight away, fractions or decimals. Same tool covers the multiples — acca and treble returns, a lucky 15, a yankee, which is where I’d always mess it up. Have a go yourself, it’s over at super heinz flag calculator — free, no signup.

The thing that genuinely made a difference is the nerdier bits. The implied probability thing and it makes obvious how much the bookie’s taking, and a kelly staking tool — I run quarter kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. The dutch tool is decent when I’m covering two or three runners.

It’s not perfect mind. Its interface feels a bit basic — no polish, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. Phone-wise it works but the lucky 63 breakdown are a squeeze. Also there’s no proper app, just the site — doesn’t bother me but you asked.

Right, that’s me. Doesn’t cost anything, barely any ads, does the job. Anyone who still works out returns on a calculator app, try it — it’s saved me a fair few dumb bets I’d have regretted.
