Worth recognising that this site does not chase the daily news cycle, and a stop at xanerobond confirmed the longer publication arc, sites that resist the pressure to comment on every passing event are sites with genuine editorial discipline and this one has clearly chosen depth over volume which I respect deeply.

Even on a quick first read the substance of the post comes through, and a look at ManilaTakeout reinforced that immediate quality, content that does not require a slow careful read to demonstrate value but rewards one anyway is content with real depth and this site has produced work of that demanding depth class.

Right — been using this thing for something like six months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so figured I’d chuck my thoughts in since someone asked me the other day. I’m UK based, mostly stick to footie and the horses, small stakes, for context.

The reason I started using it was actually embarrassing — I couldn’t ever work out what an ew return actually came to when the place terms changed. Basically I’d wing it and then be surprised. Now stick my stake in first, every time, even the boring singles.

Their single bet calculator tool is the bit I’m on daily — you drop in the price and your stake and it shows the return with no faffing, either odds format. It also handles the fiddly ones — trebles returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, patents and yankees, which is where most people I know lose track. Have a go yourself, it’s here no vig fair odds calculator — free, no signup.

The thing that really changed how I bet is the geekier bits. They’ve got an odds-to-probability calculator and it makes obvious the overround, and a kelly criterion calculator — I run quarter kelly as the full version is terrifying. The dutch tool is decent for when I’m splitting a race.

Couple of gripes. Its design is very functional, let’s say — not much flash, it’s clearly function over form. Phone-wise it’s usable though the bigger tables are a squeeze. Also there’s nothing on the app store, just the site — doesn’t bother me but you asked.

Anyway. Costs nowt, not plastered in adverts, works. If you still does the maths on paper, try it — saved me plenty of arguments with the bookie.

OK — been on this thing for maybe a few months now and I keep coming back, reckon I’d write something up since a lad on another thread asked me the other day. Am based in the UK, mainly bet football and racing, nothing mad, so take it how you like.

What got me on it was actually a bit daft — I could never get my head round what an each way return actually came to once you get five places instead of three. I’d just guess and moan when the payout landed. Now I punch the numbers in before I place anything, even the boring singles.

The single bet calculator tool is the one I use most — type in your stake, the odds and it shows returns straight away, fractions or decimals. It also handles the fiddly ones — trebles maths, a lucky 15, yankees, honestly that’s where most people I know lose track. If you want a look, it lives at super heinz kalkulátor and it’s free with no account nonsense.

One thing that actually made a difference is the geekier extras. They’ve got an odds-to-probability converter which shows you how much the bookie’s taking, and there’s the kelly staking tool — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. Dutching calculator gets used a fair bit if I’m splitting a race.

Not all sunshine though. The layout looks very functional, let’s say — no polish, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. Phone-wise it works although the acca grid make you pinch and zoom. And no proper app, it’s a website and that’s it — doesn’t bother me but you asked.

So yeah. Free, not plastered in adverts, does the job. Anyone who still adds it up in their head, give it a go — saves me plenty of arguments with the bookie.

Right — been using this thing for maybe four months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so thought I’d chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me a few days back. I’m based in the UK, mostly do football and horses, small stakes, just so you know where I’m coming from.

What got me on it was genuinely a bit daft — I could never work out what an each way payout would be when the place terms changed. I’d just wing it and moan when the payout landed. These days I punch the numbers in first, every time, even a straight one-selection punt.

Their single bet calculator is the one I’m on daily — you put in your stake, the odds and you get profit and total return with no faffing, either odds format. There’s also the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles maths, lucky 15s, a yankee, which is where most people I know mess it up. If you fancy a poke about, it’s over at free heinz bet calculator and it’s free with no account nonsense.

What actually shifted things for me were the geekier bits. They’ve got an probability thing and it makes obvious the overround, and a kelly tool — I stick to fractional kelly as the full version is terrifying. The dutching one is handy too if I’m spreading across selections.

Not all sunshine though. Its interface feels a bit basic — no frills, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. Phone-wise it’s usable though the lucky 63 breakdown make you pinch and zoom. And nothing on the app store, it’s a website and that’s it — fine by me but you asked.

Anyway. Free, not plastered in adverts, works. If you honestly works out returns on a calculator app, try it — saved me a load of dumb bets I’d have regretted.
