OK — have been messing about with this thing for something like six months now and it’s stuck on my phone, reckon I’d say something since someone asked me last week. I’m UK based, mostly do football and horses, a fiver here and there, so take it how you like.

What got me on it was honestly embarrassing — I never could get my head round what an e/w payout would be with 1/5 odds a place. Basically I’d eyeball it and then be surprised. These days I stick my stake in before every slip, even a simple single bet.

The single bet calculator is the one I use most — you put in stake and odds and you get profit and total return with no faffing, fractions or decimals. It also handles the multiples — doubles and trebles maths, lucky 15s, a yankee, honestly that’s where I always lose track. If you fancy a poke about, it’s over at each way odds calculator — free, no signup.

One thing that actually shifted things for me were the geekier bits. The probability converter which shows you what margin’s baked in, plus a kelly criterion tool — I stick to fractional kelly because full kelly is a quick route to a dead bankroll. Dutching calculator is decent when I’m covering two or three runners.

Couple of gripes. The design feels very functional, let’s say — not much polish, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. Phone-wise it’s usable although the bigger tables are a squeeze. There’s no app, it’s browser only — doesn’t bother me but worth saying.

Right, that’s me. Doesn’t cost anything, no ads shoved in your face, works. Anyone who honestly does the maths on paper, have a look — saves me a fair few arguments with the bookie.

Worth marking this site as one to come back to deliberately rather than by accident, and a stop at ztrategies reinforced that intention, the difference between sites I find again by chance and sites I return to on purpose is meaningful and this one has clearly moved into the deliberate return category for me.

Walked away in a slightly better mood than when I started reading, that says something about the writing, and a stop at strategicbusinessalliances kept that going, content that leaves you feeling more capable rather than overwhelmed is the kind I keep coming back to again and again over the years and across many topics.

OK — been on this thing for maybe a few months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so thought I’d write something up since a mate asked me a few days back. I’m based in the UK, mostly stick to footie and the horses, a fiver here and there, just so you know where I’m coming from.

The reason I started using it was actually a bit daft — I couldn’t ever get my head round what an ew return actually came to once you get five places instead of three. I’d just eyeball it and then be surprised. These days I punch the numbers in before I place anything, even a straight one-selection punt.

The single bet calculator is the bit I use most — type in your stake, the odds and it shows the return instantly, fractions or decimals. There’s also the bigger stuff — doubles and trebles maths, a lucky 15, a yankee, and that’s where most people I know mess it up. If you fancy a poke about, it lives at bet and lay calculator and it’s free with no account nonsense.

One thing that genuinely shifted things for me were the more serious extras. They’ve got an probability calculator which shows you the overround, and a kelly calculator — I run quarter kelly because full kelly is a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutch tool is decent if I’m splitting a race.

It’s not perfect mind. The design looks pretty plain — zero frills, it’s clearly function over form. Phone-wise it’s usable though the lucky 63 breakdown make you pinch and zoom. Also there’s no app, it’s browser only — doesn’t bother me but worth saying.

Anyway. Doesn’t cost anything, barely any ads, does the job. If you honestly works out returns on a calculator app, try it — saved me plenty of dumb bets I’d have regretted.

Thanks for the simple approach, too many sites bury the actual point under layers of unnecessary words, but here every line earns its place, and a look at deathrayvision showed the same care for the reader which is something I will remember the next time I need answers on a topic.

Picked up on several small touches that suggest a careful editor, and a look at votersuppressionshame suggested the same hand at work across the broader site, editorial consistency at a granular level is one of the strongest signs that an operation is serious rather than just hobbyist and this site reads as serious throughout.
