So — been on this thing for something like five months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so thought I’d chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me the other day. Am based in the UK, mostly stick to footie and the horses, small stakes, for context.
The reason I started using it was actually embarrassing — I couldn’t ever work out what an ew payout actually came to when the place terms changed. I used to just eyeball it and get a shock. These days I stick my stake in first, every time, even a straight one-selection punt.
Their single bet calculator is the one I open most — you drop in your stake, the odds and it shows returns straight away, fractions or decimals. It also handles the multiples — trebles maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, yankees, honestly that’s where most people I know mess it up. Have a go yourself, it lives at lucky 63 bet calculator and it’s free with no account nonsense.
One thing that really shifted things for me was the more serious tools. There’s an implied probability calculator and it makes obvious the overround, and there’s the kelly criterion calculator — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutch tool gets used a fair bit when I’m splitting a race.
Couple of gripes. Its design is very functional, let’s say — not much frills, it’s clearly function over form. On mobile it works although the acca grid are a squeeze. Also there’s no proper app, just the site — fine by me just flagging it.
Anyway. Doesn’t cost anything, not plastered in adverts, works. If you honestly adds it up in their head, give it a go — saved me plenty of dumb bets I’d have regretted.

Liked the careful selection of which details to include and which to skip, and a stop at captchathedog reflected the same editorial judgement, knowing what to leave out is just as important as knowing what to include and this site has clearly figured out where that line sits for the topics it covers regularly.

I usually skim posts like these but this one held my attention all the way through, and a stop at xalirobond did the same, that is a strong endorsement coming from me because I am usually quick to bounce when content gets repetitive or fails to deliver on its initial promise made in the headline.

Held my interest from the opening line through to the closing thought, and a stop at ztrategies did the same, content that earns sustained attention in an environment full of distractions is doing something right and this site is clearly doing several things right rather than just one or two which I really appreciate.

Most blog writing on this subject reaches for the same handful of arguments and this post avoided them, and a look at morixoline continued the original treatment, content that finds its own path through territory other writers have flattened is content with real authorial energy and this site has plenty of that distinctive energy.

Felt like the post had been edited rather than just drafted and published, and a stop at xanerobond suggested the same care across the site, the difference between edited and unedited content is enormous for the reader and this site has clearly invested in the editing pass that most blogs skip entirely which really does show up.

Right — been on this thing for something like a few months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so thought I’d chuck my thoughts in since someone asked me the other day. I’m based in the UK, mainly stick to footie and the horses, a fiver here and there, so take it how you like.
What got me on it was actually embarrassing — I never could get my head round what an e/w return would be once you get five places instead of three. Basically I’d guess and then be surprised. These days I type the odds in before every slip, even the boring singles.
The single bet calculator is the bit I’m on daily — you put in the price and your stake and it spits out the return straight away, either odds format. It also handles the fiddly ones — acca and treble maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, a yankee, honestly that’s where I always lose track. If you want a look, it’s here odds converter percentage and it’s free with no account nonsense.
One thing that actually shifted things for me is the geekier extras. The implied probability converter that shows what margin’s baked in, and there’s the kelly criterion calculator — I stick to fractional kelly because full kelly is far too aggressive. Dutching calculator is handy too if I’m covering two or three runners.
It’s not perfect mind. The interface is very functional, let’s say — zero flash, it’s clearly function over form. On my phone it works but the bigger tables make you pinch and zoom. Also there’s no app, just the site — doesn’t bother me just flagging it.
Anyway. Doesn’t cost anything, barely any ads, does what it says. If you honestly does the maths on paper, have a look — it’s saved me plenty of dumb bets I’d have regretted.
