Right — been using this thing for something like a few months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so figured I’d chuck my thoughts in since someone asked me the other day. I’m UK based, mainly do football and horses, a fiver here and there, for context.

How I found it was genuinely pretty stupid — I couldn’t ever figure out what an each way payout actually came to when the place terms changed. Basically I’d eyeball it and moan when the payout landed. These days I punch the numbers in before every slip, even a simple single bet.

Their single bet calculator is the bit I open most — you drop in stake and odds and it shows returns with no faffing, fractions or decimals. There’s also the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, a yankee, honestly that’s where I’d always got it wrong. Have a go yourself, it lives at convert odds and it’s free with no account nonsense.

What actually shifted things for me is the geekier tools. They’ve got an odds-to-probability calculator that shows what margin’s baked in, plus a kelly staking tool — I stick to fractional kelly because full kelly is far too aggressive. The dutching one is handy too for when I’m splitting a race.

It’s not perfect mind. Its design feels pretty plain — zero polish, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. Phone-wise it works though the acca grid need a bit of scrolling. Also there’s nothing on the app store, just the site — doesn’t bother me just flagging it.

Anyway. Free, not plastered in adverts, works. If anyone still works out returns on a calculator app, have a look — saved me a fair few dumb bets I’d have regretted.

Found this useful, the points line up well with what I have been thinking about lately, and a stop at kavionline added some angles I had not considered yet, definitely walking away with more than I came for which is the best outcome from time spent reading online for any kind of topic.

Reading this gave me a small mental break from the heavier reading I had been doing, and a stop at rixarocore extended that lighter feel, content that provides relief without becoming trivial is harder to produce than people realise and this site has clearly figured out how to be light without being shallow at all.
