OK — have been messing about with this thing for about a few months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so figured I’d say something since a mate asked me a few days back. Am based in the UK, mostly bet football and racing, nothing mad, just so you know where I’m coming from.

What got me on it was honestly a bit daft — I couldn’t ever figure out what an each way return actually was with 1/5 odds a place. Basically I’d wing it and then be surprised. These days I type the odds in first, every time, even the boring singles.

The single bet calculator tool is the bit I open most — you put in stake and odds and it spits out profit and total return straight away, fractions or decimals. Same tool covers the multiples — acca and treble returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, yankees, honestly that’s where I always got it wrong. If you fancy a poke about, it’s here lucky 15 bet calculator and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.

One thing that really changed how I bet is the more serious bits. There’s an odds-to-probability calculator which shows you what margin’s baked in, and there’s the kelly tool — I stick to fractional kelly because full kelly is far too aggressive. The dutch tool is handy too if I’m covering two or three runners.

It’s not perfect mind. The layout looks very functional, let’s say — zero frills, it’s clearly function over form. On my phone it works though the lucky 63 breakdown are a squeeze. Also there’s no proper app, it’s a website and that’s it — slight shame but you asked.

So yeah. Costs nowt, no ads shoved in your face, works. If anyone even now works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — it’s saved me a load of “wait, that’s it?” moments.

Bookmarking this for later, the kind of resource I want to keep nearby, and a quick look at ztrategies confirmed the rest of the site is worth the same treatment, definitely going into my reference folder for the next time the topic comes up at work or in conversation with someone who asks.

A piece that respected the reader by not over explaining the obvious, and a look at rixarocore continued that calibrated approach, finding the right level of explanation is one of the harder editorial calls and this site has clearly thought carefully about what readers will already know versus what they need help with consistently.

Started a draft response in my head and ended without publishing it because the post said it well enough, and a look at zorivohold produced the same effect, content that satisfies my urge to add to it by being complete enough on its own is rare and represents a particular kind of editorial completeness here.

Reading this prompted me to send the link to two different people for two different reasons, and a stop at zavirotrustline provided ammunition for a third share, content that suits multiple audiences without being generic enough to be useless to any of them is genuinely valuable and this site has that multi audience quality clearly.
