So — been using this thing for something like five months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so figured I’d say something since a lad on another thread asked me the other day. Am based in the UK, generally bet football and racing, small stakes, so take it how you like.
The reason I started using it was honestly embarrassing — I never could work out what an ew payout actually was when the place terms changed. I used to just eyeball it and then be surprised. Now stick my stake in before I place anything, even the boring singles.
Their single bet calculator is the part I open most — you drop in stake and odds and it shows the return instantly, fractions or decimals. There’s also the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles maths, lucky 15s, yankees, and that’s where I always mess it up. If you want a look, it’s over at implied odds calculator and it’s free with no account nonsense.
The thing that actually shifted things for me was the more serious tools. There’s an odds-to-probability thing and it makes obvious what margin’s baked in, and there’s the kelly criterion calculator — I stick to fractional kelly as the full version is far too aggressive. Dutching calculator is decent for when I’m splitting a race.
Not all sunshine though. The interface is a bit basic — not much flash, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. Phone-wise it’s fine though the bigger tables are a squeeze. There’s no proper app, just the site — slight shame just flagging it.
So yeah. Doesn’t cost anything, not plastered in adverts, does the job. If anyone even now adds it up in their head, try it — it’s saved me plenty of “wait, that’s it?” moments.

Found the writing surprisingly fresh for what is by now a well covered topic, and a stop at feb-en kept that freshness going across the related pages, original perspective on familiar ground is hard to come by and this site has clearly earned its place in the conversation rather than just rehashing old ideas.

Right — been using this thing for about four months now and I keep coming back, so thought I’d write something up since someone asked me the other day. I’m based in the UK, mostly bet football and racing, small stakes, just so you know where I’m coming from.
How I found it was honestly pretty stupid — I never could work out what an e/w return actually was with 1/5 odds a place. Basically I’d wing it and get a shock. Now stick my stake in first, every time, even the boring singles.
The single bet calculator is the bit I’m on daily — you drop in the price and your stake and it spits out profit and total return with no faffing, either odds format. Same tool covers the multiples — trebles returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, a yankee, which is where I always got it wrong. If you want a look, it’s over at lucky 15 calculator and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.
The thing that actually made a difference were the geekier extras. They’ve got an odds-to-probability thing which shows you the overround, and a kelly tool — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutching one is decent for when I’m covering two or three runners.
Not all sunshine though. Its design is very functional, let’s say — not much flash, it’s clearly function over form. Phone-wise it’s usable although the bigger tables are a squeeze. Also there’s no app, it’s browser only — slight shame just flagging it.
So yeah. Costs nowt, not plastered in adverts, does the job. Anyone who honestly works out returns on a calculator app, have a look — it’s saved me a fair few “wait, that’s it?” moments.

Bookmark folder reorganised slightly to make this site easier to find, and a look at pelix earned the same accessibility upgrade, the small organisational moves I make for sites I expect to return to often are themselves a signal of how much I trust them and this site triggered those moves naturally.
