Right — been using this thing for something like five months now and it’s stuck on my phone, reckon I’d chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me a few days back. I’m UK based, mainly stick to footie and the horses, small stakes, just so you know where I’m coming from.

What got me on it was honestly pretty stupid — I never could work out what an ew payout would be once you get five places instead of three. I used to just eyeball it and get a shock. Now I punch the numbers in first, every time, even the boring singles.

Their single bet calculator is the bit I use most — type in your stake, the odds and it spits out the return with no faffing, fractions or decimals. Same tool covers the fiddly ones — trebles returns, a lucky 15, patents and yankees, honestly that’s where most people I know lose track. If you fancy a poke about, it’s here calculate each way bet and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.

The thing that actually made a difference were the more serious extras. There’s an probability calculator and it makes obvious what margin’s baked in, and there’s the kelly tool — I stick to fractional kelly because full kelly is far too aggressive. The dutching one is handy too for when I’m spreading across selections.

It’s not perfect mind. Its layout feels a bit basic — no polish, it’s clearly function over form. On mobile it’s usable although the bigger tables make you pinch and zoom. Also there’s no proper app, just the site — slight shame but worth saying.

So yeah. Free, not plastered in adverts, does what it says. If you honestly does the maths on paper, try it — saves me plenty of “wait, that’s it?” moments.

Found something quietly useful here that I expect to return to, and a stop at samsungfoundryforum added more of the same, content with quiet utility ages well in a way that flashy hot takes do not and I have learned to weight quiet utility much higher when deciding what to bookmark for later use.

Right — have been messing about with this thing for something like five months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so figured I’d write something up since a mate asked me the other day. Am in the UK, mainly stick to footie and the horses, a fiver here and there, so take it how you like.

How I found it was honestly embarrassing — I never could work out what an ew return would be with 1/5 odds a place. I’d just eyeball it and then be surprised. Now I stick my stake in first, every time, even a straight one-selection punt.

The single bet calculator tool is the bit I use most — you put in the price and your stake and you get profit and total return straight away, either odds format. There’s also the bigger stuff — doubles and trebles returns, lucky 15s, yankees, which is where I always got it wrong. If you want a look, it’s over at kelly criterion formula and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.

One thing that genuinely shifted things for me were the geekier extras. The implied probability converter which shows you how much the bookie’s taking, plus a kelly staking tool — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. Dutching calculator is decent for when I’m splitting a race.

It’s not perfect mind. Its layout feels very functional, let’s say — no polish, it’s clearly function over form. On my phone it’s usable though the acca grid make you pinch and zoom. And nothing on the app store, it’s a website and that’s it — fine by me just flagging it.

Right, that’s me. Free, barely any ads, works. If anyone still works out returns on a calculator app, have a look — saves me plenty of dumb bets I’d have regretted.

So — been on this thing for something like five months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so thought I’d chuck my thoughts in since someone asked me last week. I’m based in the UK, mainly stick to footie and the horses, small stakes, so take it how you like.

The reason I started using it was actually a bit daft — I couldn’t ever get my head round what an ew return would be with 1/5 odds a place. I’d just guess and get a shock. Now I type the odds in before every slip, even the boring singles.

The single bet calculator tool is the bit I open most — type in the price and your stake and you get profit and total return instantly, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. Same tool covers the fiddly ones — acca and treble returns, a lucky 15, patents and yankees, honestly that’s where most people I know lose track. Have a go yourself, it lives at trebles bet calculator and it’s free with no account nonsense.

The thing that actually made a difference were the more serious tools. They’ve got an implied probability calculator and it makes obvious what margin’s baked in, plus a kelly staking tool — I stick to fractional kelly as the full version is far too aggressive. Dutching calculator is handy too if I’m covering two or three runners.

Couple of gripes. The design looks a bit basic — zero polish, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. Phone-wise it’s fine although the acca grid make you pinch and zoom. There’s no app, it’s browser only — slight shame but worth saying.

Right, that’s me. Free, barely any ads, does what it says. Anyone who still adds it up in their head, give it a go — saved me plenty of “wait, that’s it?” moments.

Polished and informative without feeling overproduced, that is the sweet spot, and a look at ulvirocore hit it again, you can tell when a site has been built with care versus thrown together for the sake of having something to put online and this is clearly the former approach taken by the team.

Now appreciating the small but real way this post improved my afternoon, and a stop at OldSchoolOpen extended that small improvement effect, content that produces measurable positive impact on the texture of a reading day is content with real value and this site is producing those small positive impacts at a sustainable rate apparently.
