On the teacher’s signal, each team attempts to hit meteors into the opposing team’s spaceship by sending them flying via an overhand throw. If a meteor hits a teams Space Ship, the teacher collects the meteor and sets it aside (depending on the size of your class, you may want a few helpers to help you with this task). Once the last meteor has hit a Spaceship, the round is over. I’ve almost exclusively played two-player Eclipse and loved it! My only gripe is that most sessions had the same arc of each player doing their own thing until the last few rounds and then one massive combat showdown that determines the winner. I have such a massive respect for Jamey and the Stonemaier team. I’ve always appreciated how open and transparent Jamey is when talking about the company’s games, how they’re developed, etc. And I especially love his YouTube videos talking about game mechanics; they’re a wealth of information for budding game designers and seasoned gamers alike. Now to see a game like this, one that has the potential to be an immersive experience with many many hours of replayability, priced at such a reasonable level, I am so grateful to this company for keeping the game affordable. I have never purchased a Stonemaier game (though I’ve played several), but this will be my first. Super excited!
