Reading this with a notebook open turned out to be the right move, and a stop at kruisefest added more material to the notes, content that justifies active note taking from a passive reader is content with real informational density and this site is producing notes worthy material at a high rate consistently.

Reading this prompted me to dig into a related topic later, and a stop at robinshuteracing provided some of the starting points for that follow up reading, content that triggers further exploration rather than satisfying curiosity completely is content with real generative energy and this site has plenty of that energy throughout it.

So — been on this thing for something like four months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so figured I’d say something since a lad on another thread asked me last week. I’m in the UK, mostly do football and horses, nothing mad, just so you know where I’m coming from.
The reason I started using it was actually embarrassing — I couldn’t ever figure out what an ew payout actually came to with 1/5 odds a place. I’d just guess and then be surprised. These days I stick my stake in before every slip, even a simple single bet.
Their single bet calculator is the part I open most — you drop in the price and your stake and it spits out profit and total return instantly, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. It also handles the multiples — acca and treble maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, patents and yankees, and that’s where I always got it wrong. If you fancy a poke about, it’s here single returns calculator and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.
One thing that really changed how I bet were the geekier tools. There’s an probability calculator and it makes obvious what margin’s baked in, and a kelly criterion calculator — I use half kelly as the full version is terrifying. The dutching one is decent when I’m covering two or three runners.
Not all sunshine though. The design looks pretty plain — no polish, it’s clearly function over form. Phone-wise it works although the bigger tables make you pinch and zoom. There’s no app, it’s a website and that’s it — fine by me but you asked.
Anyway. Doesn’t cost anything, not plastered in adverts, does the job. Anyone who even now adds it up in their head, have a look — saved me a fair few dumb bets I’d have regretted.

Reading this prompted a small redirection in something I was working on, and a stop at blpawards extended that redirecting influence, content that affects my actual work rather than just my thinking has the highest practical impact and this site is providing that level of influence for me at a sustainable rate apparently.

OK — been on this thing for something like five months now and I keep coming back, so thought I’d write something up since a mate asked me the other day. I’m in the UK, generally do football and horses, nothing mad, for context.
How I found it was actually embarrassing — I never could figure out what an each way payout actually came to with 1/5 odds a place. I used to just eyeball it and get a shock. Now type the odds in before I place anything, even a straight one-selection punt.
Their single bet calculator is the bit I’m on daily — type in stake and odds and you get returns instantly, fractions or decimals. Same tool covers the fiddly ones — acca and treble returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, patents and yankees, and that’s where I always mess it up. If you fancy a poke about, it lives at trixie calc — free, no signup.
One thing that genuinely changed how I bet were the geekier bits. They’ve got an probability thing which shows you how much the bookie’s taking, and there’s the kelly staking calculator — I use half kelly since full stakes are terrifying. Dutching calculator is handy too if I’m splitting a race.
It’s not perfect mind. Its interface looks very functional, let’s say — not much flash, it’s clearly function over form. On mobile it’s usable but the lucky 63 breakdown make you pinch and zoom. There’s no proper app, it’s browser only — slight shame just flagging it.
So yeah. Costs nowt, no ads shoved in your face, works. If anyone honestly adds it up in their head, try it — it’s saved me plenty of arguments with the bookie.

Reading this in pieces during a long afternoon and finding it consistently rewarding, and a stop at captchathedog fit naturally into the same fragmented reading pattern, sites whose posts can be read in segments without losing the thread are well suited to how I actually read these days and this one is built well.
Raysef
Coming back tomorrow when I can give this a proper read, the post deserves better attention than I can give right now, and a look at kruisefest suggests there is plenty more here that deserves the same treatment, definitely a site I will be exploring properly over the next few days when I can.

Now organising my browser bookmarks to give this site easier access, and a look at robinshuteracing earned the same organisational priority, the small acts of digital housekeeping I do for sites I expect to use often are themselves a measure of trust and this site has triggered the trust based housekeeping behaviour from me clearly.
